7 Reasons I Love Beyoncé's Lemonade

This was long overdue.

1. The title.
Lemonade, baby. It's LEMONADE. Not only is lemonade delicious, but it's the symbolism behind it that's so powerful. Life gives you this sour little dealy, and you go ahead and make this delicious sweet beverage. Besides, it's just cool, okay? Really, though, life gave you some shitty lemons, and you happened to make sweet sweet lemonade.

2. I feel her pain.
It sucks when someone cheats on you; that's far from a secret, right? You go through these stages, and it's just a hard fall to get back up from. It's difficult to find someone who will remain faithful, and that, my friends, is a spoonful of real talk.

3. Hold up and remember who's really losing.
I don't know about you, but seeing Queen Bey in that bumble bee dress with that bat filled with "it's your loss" type of vibes is definitely the word we need to spread across the globe. Lets remember it isn't your fault his/her blind ass did this to you. No one is going to love them how you did, boo. You need to just smile like Bey and say thank you, because this just saved you some time in realizing this idiot's foolishness. Clearly something that shouldn't be taken for granted is, and that's just not cool. Lets all put on those fabulous yellow dresses and take bats to everything in our way, because we are all Queens and Kings, baby!

4. Anger is unleashed to make room for a new start.
After the sadness and realizing how good you are and were to that idiot... you get a little angry. Bey knows... We all get a little angry and just want to let it out. "Lemonade" gives you the right amount of time to express that pent up anger of what the hell, boy/girl? Then it's about deciding whether you want to fix this or move on. If you stay, you just need to remember it won't be easy. Oh, don't forget to point out this can't happen again! Lemons can't always make such sweet lemonade.

5. It's EMPOWERING.
Look, buddies... there's nothing that makes you feel quite as weak and even worthless as the person you trust the most stabbing you in the back... basically saying you weren't enough. Ouch. Lemonade has this vibe, though. Do you know what I'm talking about? It's the I'm still a badass, and you know that. It's one of those I don't need anybody; I'm a queen... How would you feel if you were the one to break this? You can't. No one can break this, because I'm a Queen, baby. I'm woman, and I'm stronger for it.

6. It makes you reflect.
I found myself looking back at my life and all the people who helped build who I've become. I felt even more powerful. I don't just hold my own strength, but I also hold everyone's efforts, as well. I thanked my dad for the woman he raised. I thanked my mother for the woman she raised. I thanked my brother for the badass sister he helped raise. Everyone played a roll in shaping me, and it's fantastic to think about. Memory lane? I don't know. It definitely makes me reevaluate who I am. Daddy made a strong young lady out of me to take no bullshit from anybody.

7. It gets better, after it gets worse.
Everyone tells you things get better, but they forget to tell you shit hits the fan first. You make the good good. You make things good, and Lemonade lets you know that. Things will get better, but it'll be difficult until it's good and even after, too. We're all warriors, and we need to be reminded of that sometimes. We can't quit on ourselves.

"Nothing real can be threatened," has to be my favorite line, though. Can we give Beyoncé a round of applause? This visual album is truly great. It draws this realistic struggle that we've all dealt with whether it regards a significant other or not. We've all been down in the dumps struggling to standing back up.

There you have it. It's great, okay? Lemonade is great! Now, lets all make it the soundtrack of our lives until she releases our new soundtrack, because this is Beyoncé's world we live in; lets be real with ourselves.
